TacoNet 7.0, a product selection and specifying software program, contains more than 5,600 product CAD drawings and is compatible with Windows 95/NT/ME and XP operating platforms. The software principally focuses on three types of products — expansion tanks, heat exchangers, and pumps. This version of the software contains such upgrades as updated expansion tank and heat exchanger information that includes new models and more sizes, and calculations for variable-speed pump performance curves. Also added to Taco-Net 7.0 is the Head Loss Estimator, which permits the user to figure out system head loss when fluids are used. The software also comes with an advanced update button so that users can keep up to date on changes and additions. Via an Internet link, the Taco-Net server will, on a regular basis, compare the latest updates with what the user has, and install the updates automatically.
