Carrier Announces Leadership Transition

FARMINGTON, CT — Carrier Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp., has announced the appointment of Todd Bluedorn as president, North America Commercial. Bluedorn will be based in Farmington and will lead the commercial applied, commercial unitary, and airside business.

Bluedorn rejoins Carrier from system division Hamilton Sundstrand, where he was president, industrial.

In making the announcement, Carrier president Geraud Darnis said, “Todd’s operation and strategic experience and focus, coupled with his leadership and analytical skills, make him well suited for this assignment.”

Bluedorn replaces John Malloy, who left Carrier to pursue other interests. Darnis also announced that Carrier’s three residential business units — cooling, heating, and International Comfort Products (ICP) — will report directly to him.
