ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced the winners of its annual Safety Masters Club competition. The Safety Award of Merit is awarded to ACCA contractor member companies with the best lost-time incident rate record for 2005 in each of five categories. ACCA's 2006 Safety Award of Merit recipients are: Air Waves Heating & Air, Columbia, S.C., 0-40,000 hours; Energy Management Specialists, Cleveland, 40,001-100,000 hours; CHC Mechanical Contractors, Cookeville, Tenn., 100,001-200,000 hours; and Aircond Corp., Smyrna, Ga., 200,001+ hours.
