The new Magellan™ electronic control for fractional-hp, residential motors is mounted separately from the motor, making it easier to install and service the controls, the manufacturer says. The control was designed for use with the company’s line of 1/2- and 1-hp brushless, permanent magnet motors. The compact controls are suitable for use with residential furnaces and air handlers. The split design enables the replacement of electronic motors without the removal of the motor from the blower, the company says. Switches for airflow adjustment are accessible through an opening in the control unit’s housing.
