Sales for the quarter were $40.2 million, an increase of 6% compared to sales of $38.1 million for the prior year period. Same-store sales declined by 1%. Net income for the quarter declined to $887,000, or $0.08 per basic and diluted share, compared with net income of $1,614,000, or $0.15 per basic share and $0.14 per diluted share, for 1999.
