Wholesale-Distribution for the Week: South Texas Controls, ACR Group, Inc. and Noland Co.

South Texas Controls (San Antonio, TX) has been named a member of the Authorized Building Controls Specialist (ABCS) distribution channel of Johnson Controls, Inc. (Milwaukee, WI). South Texas Controls will work with the Johnson Controls Texas Area Office to provide temperature control systems in southern Texas.

ACR Group, Inc. (Houston, TX) reports operating results for its fiscal second quarter ended August 31. Sales for the quarter were $40.2 million, an increase of 6% compared to sales of $38.1 million for the prior year period. Same-store sales declined by 1%. Net income for the quarter declined to $887,000, or $0.08 per basic and diluted share, compared with net income of $1,614,000, or $0.15 per basic share and $0.14 per diluted share, for 1999.

Noland Co. (Newport News, VA) has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of eight cents, payable on October 23 to stockholders of record at the close of business October 13.
