The A-1000 active GPS receiver/transmitter is a component in the company’s “Eye In The Sky” fleet locating, monitoring, and management system. The unit is considered active since it supports two-way communication between base station and vehicle. This is accomplished using a cellular telephone connection, making the system an affordable way for smaller fleets and tradesmen to own a GPS tracking system, says the company. The base station PC can call all vehicles to download position data, which the computer will store and display, the company says.
