The TURBIdek evaporative cooling system increases output levels, improving thermal efficiency to achieve optimal gas turbine energy production, says the manufacturer. According to the company, the system is designed to increase the output of cooler, denser air, giving the gas turbines a higher mass flow rate and pressure ratio, which increases power and efficiency. At the same time, the air scrubbing effects of the company’s evaporative cooling media contributes to the removal of many airborne contaminants before they enter the turbine, decreasing maintenance on filters and other equipment, the manufacturer says.
