  • Lennox International (Dallas, TX) has named Bill Moltner as vice-president of investor relations. Moltner was formerly director of investor relations for the company and has headed the department since August 1998.

  • The Trane Company (La Crosse, WI) and Inco (Toronto, ON, Canada) have partnered to reduce energy usage and improve plant working conditions. The four-year contract, worth $5 million Canadian (CDN), is expected to provide $1.3 million to $1.8 million CDN in annual energy savings. The partnership includes an ongoing preventative maintenance service contract at the Inco nickel refinery site in Thompson, MB.

  • Johns Manville (Denver, CO) is extending its ComfortTherm® line to include R-38 batts, designed for use in cathedral ceilings and other locations where greater thermal insulation is needed.
  • Sparks Technology, Inc.
  • (Batavia, IL) has launched its newly renovated website. The site is designed for easier navigation and will share expertise with business owners, distributors, health care professionals, and facilities managers free of charge. Users will also have the ability to chat live with a Sparks Technology filtration specialist. The site can be found at www.sparkstech.com(website).

  • Honeywell (Minneapolis, MN) has made available two new Networked Zoning System videos. The first, Honeywell’s Networked Zoning Contractor Introduction, gives an overview of the application and its installation. The second video, An Introduction to Networked Zoning for the Homeowner, serves as a sales and information tool that contractors can use with customers.   • The Commercial Service unit of Carrier Corp. (King of Prussia, PA) has selected eMarket Capital, Inc. as its principal source of project financing. A Web-based service, eMarket Capital uses a patent-pending bidding process to facilitate the leasing of capital equipment for manufacturers nationwide.
  • Former Olympic gold medal swimmer Steve Lundquist has taken the position of vice president of sales with DryKor, Inc. (Fayetteville, GA).
