Models LAFC and HEPA LAFC are high-efficiency, flush-ceiling-mount air cleaners that require less than 12 in. of depth to install in a drop ceiling, says the company. New features of the 2- by 4-ft units include a removable hood and lengthened wires for easier installation, the manufacturer says. Electrical components are now connected using spade connectors and terminals rather than soldering, for simpler fieldwork; a larger standard electrical outlet box was added for easier access; and the louvered clean-air delivery panel allows variable yet smooth airflow, the company says.
