WARREN, MI — Heating and cooling contractor Flame Furnace Co., headquartered here, has been repurchased from utility Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. (MichCon), by Gary Marowske, one of the contracting company’s original owners.
The metropolitan Detroit-area hvac business was founded in 1949 and was owned by the Marowske family until MichCon acquired it in 1998. Initially operating under the name MichCon Home Services, it was changed back to Flame Furnace in 1999.
Marowske, a 22-year veteran of the firm who served as president for 15 years, purchased all assets of the company.
