LA CROSSE, WI — The La Crosse operations of The Trane Company has been recognized as a Star Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) site by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

This voluntary program is designed to recognize and promote effective safety and health management.

There are three levels of achievement for VPP sites, Demonstration, Merit, and Star, with Star being the highest achievement.

To receive “Star” recognition, participants have to meet criteria based on management excellence in meeting objectives for safety and protection of human life. A Trane spokesman said, “This achievement recognizes the commitment of Trane and its employees to workplace safety, and is another example of how — by working together — we can achieve mutual goals.”
