The Model R electrostatic filter is a high-efficiency product that can significantly enhance the working efficiency of an ice machine without affecting airflow requirements, the company says. The filter contains multiple layers of woven polypropylene fabric. The media has an inherent electrostatic charge that doesn’t wash out or lessen over time, says the company. The filter will catch and hold particles until washed clean; no tackifiers or spray adhesives are needed, says the manufacturer. The 1¼4-in.-thick filter is framed in galvanized steel. Stainless steel is also available.
