The company has expanded its offering of retrofit adaptive frequency drives (AFD) for existing chillers to include a 1,000-hp model. The drives help oversized chillers run at low load, conserving energy and assisting in quieter operation, says the company. Typical applications are facilities that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at part-load conditions. These include data processing centers and arenas, as well as hospitality, health care, and manufacturing facilities. The 1,000-hp unit completes the line; also available are 350-, 450, and 650-hp models.
