Maxicap is a patented rubber cover which fits snugly over Maxitrol 325-3 regulators. It is an effective and inexpensive way to prevent regulator lockup due to ice, snow, insects, and other debris blocking the vent when the regulator is installed outdoors, says the company. The vent limiter stays in place as it was designed, giving the customer the protection that the gas regulator is meant to provide, the company says. No tools are required for installation, and the cover is UV safe, says the manufacturer.
