Home » Joint Venture to Market Refrigerant Underway
MARIETTA, GA — CFC Refimax LLC and Stonehill Trading Ltd. have come to an agreement on a joint venture called InterCool Distribution (ICD). ICD says it has purchased the assets and selected patents from InterCool Energy for cash and future royalties. CFC Refimax will produce the patented refrigerant, Frigc® R-416A, and will market it through both InterCool Distribution and CFC Refimax.
Frigc R-416A and its sister product FR-12 are direct drop-ins for refrigerant R-12.
Currently, Frigc is less than one third the cost of scarce R-12 and provides almost identical performance without requiring expensive modification to existing equipment, according to the company.
