ICI Announces Sale of Klea to Ineos
RUNCORN, UK — ICI has agreed to terms for the sale of Klea to the Ineos group, the UK’s second largest chemical company. Klea, along with two other ICI businesses (Chlor Chemicals and Crosfield) will be sold for a minimum of $471 million total.
ICI Klea produces a wide range of industrial and specialty fluorinated chemicals, including refrigerants for the replacement of CFCs and HCFCs, as well as medical propellants for use in asthma inhalers, inhalation anesthetics, and chemical intermediates.
