The Temptestr® is a low-cost, compact, lightweight infrared thermometer that works with the push of a single button, says the company. It provides temperature in °F or °C on its LCD screen. A hold feature displays the temperature for 7 sec to allow time for logging. The laser-sighting model emits a bright red laser spot for easy target identification, the company says. The unit operates on a user-replaceable 9-V battery. Temperature measurement range is 0° to 500°F (-18° to 260°C).
