The Informant™ 2 is a handheld leak detection device that checks for both refrigerant and combustible gas leaks. The unit features a pair of interchangeable sensor tips that can be swapped in seconds, says the company. The refrigerant sensor tip is tapered to a 0.2-in. dia, allowing access to hard-to-reach areas, the company says. The heated diode refrigerant sensor is said to be one of the most sensitive in the industry. The combustible gas sensor detects leaks of all combustible gases and is sensitive to 50 ppm, says the manufacturer.
