New premium high-vacuum pump oil is engineered to maintain maximum viscosity at high running temperatures and improve cold weather starts, the company says. Laboratory tests show that the oil helps pumps pull to and hold a deeper vacuum quicker; tests also show that the oil is more thermally stable, which means it resists breaking down due to heat for a longer period of time, says the manufacturer. The oil is also said to have a lower moisture content than other oils.
