The Dryerbox™, a newly redesigned recessed dryer vent box, offers improvements for the hvac installer, drywall contractor, trim carpenter, painter, and homeowner, says the company. The recessed connection allows the appliance to be installed right against the wall, eliminates bends in the flex exhaust hose that can cause lint buildup and a fire hazard, and allows the dryer to work more efficiently, the company says. The aluminized steel box installs between 12- or 16-in. center studs and can be exhausted to a roof jack, sidewall, or down to a crawl space or floor joist system.
