The vent for the Gateway B-vent fireplace can be terminated vertically or horizontally, allowing it to be placed anywhere in a home, the company says. According to the company, features include a fire that can be seen from two rooms; high thermal efficiency; the patented Intellifire system, which includes an ignition system that provides a pilot flame only when needed; and a battery backup system that allows the fireplace to run during power outage situations. It can be operated using an optional remote control or a wall switch.
