Associations for the Week: NEMI, SMACNA, ASHRAE
ASHRAE is proposing specific locations for outdoor air intakes in an addendum to Standard 62-1999, “Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality.” Addendum aa specifies minimum separation distance requirements between common outdoor contaminant sources, such as exhaust vents and loading docks, and outdoor air intakes. It also sets requirements intended to limit rain intrusion and entrainment for bird screening. The addendum is open for public review until Jan. 30, 2001.
