NEW ORLEANS, LA — The National Foundation for Women Legislators hosted an indoor air quality (IAQ) panel discussion moderated by Erik Emblem, executive director of the National Energy Management Institute (NEMI), during its 2000 Annual Conference.

“I am very pleased to see such a highly visible organization as the National Foundation for Women Legislators hosting a forum to discuss IAQ,’” said Emblem.

Participating in the discussion were Steve Barringer, an environmental attorney; Frank Powell, an engineer and IAQ expert; James Woods of the Woods Research Institute; Jack Desmond, president and ceo of Cox Engineering and future president of the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA); and Vincent Panvini, legislative director of SMACNA.
