ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. - A. O. Smith recently donated two ProStar® Tankless On-Demand gas water heaters to the Yucca Council Boy Scouts, serving west Texas and southern New Mexico, for use at one of their campsites.

"A. O. Smith's donation of these water heaters means so much to the Yucca Council," said Karen Edmonston, council training chairperson, Yucca Council, Boy Scouts of America. "Our problem of having to replace conventional water heaters every other year has been solved. I'm sure our campers will be grateful for hot showers during their camping experience. There is no reason our sons cannot be clean at camp, except for the fact that they are boys."

The water heaters will be used for the first time during the Boy Scout wood badge training, the highest level of training an adult volunteer can receive. Approximately 70 adults will participate in the sessions.

"We are glad to donate our innovative products to help communities," said David Chisolm, brand manager at A. O. Smith. "The Boy Scouts' organization does tremendous work for our country's youth, and this is just one way we can contribute to their mission."
