Platform Gives HVACR Industry Political Advocacy Tools

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) has launched its Grassroots Advocacy Center, an online platform that gives HARDI members and HVACR professionals tools to engage directly in the policymaking process and make their voices heard on issues that matter most to the industry.
The Grassroots Advocacy Center, developed by HARDI Advocacy, the organization's government affairs department, is a central hub for HARDI members to learn about key legislative and regulatory issues that impact their businesses. The page features active lobbying campaigns, enabling users to quickly send comments to federal and state officials on pressing policy topics.
“One of our industry’s biggest strengths is the collective voice of our members,” Alex Ayers, HARDI’s vice president of government affairs, said in a press release. “This new platform lays the foundation for effective, strong, and coordinated advocacy efforts across the federal and state levels.”
In addition to current grassroots campaigns, the page includes an Election Center, where users can enter their address to access comprehensive voting resources, view elected officials and candidates, and sign up for alerts. The sidebar also features a legislative search tool that allows members to identify state and federal legislation relevant to the HVACR industry by keyword.
As part of HARDI’s ongoing commitment to proactive government affairs and member engagement, the platform will empower distributors to involve themselves and their customers in shaping policies that affect the industry’s future, the press release said.
