2025 Top 40 Under 40: William Yarbrough

William Yarbrough
For William Yarbrough, HVAC isn’t just a career — it’s a calling rooted in faith, family, and service. His father started Yarbrough and Sons Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing two years before he was born, and aside from a short time away, William has been part of the business his entire life.
He came on full-time in 2016 after returning from living overseas with his wife, and since then, he’s helped lead the company through a period of steady growth, doubling revenue from $5 million in 2019 to $10 million by 2024 — all while keeping the value-based, family-owned company intact.
One of his proudest accomplishments has been witnessing his father, Darren, and brothers, Kolby and Tucker, grow into respected industry leaders and top professionals within their respective areas of the HVAC field.
“I’m extremely proud of them,” Yarbrough said.
As a leader, William is known for his calm, thoughtful approach and his commitment to doing things the right way, not just the easy way.
As a leader, William is known for his steady presence and his dedication to leading with integrity — always doing things the right way, not just the easy way.
“Will is a collaborative, humble yet confident leader whose influence is felt far beyond his words — it’s in the way he consistently leads by example,” said Carol Longacre, director of affiliate relations at Service Nation. “His calm, thoughtful approach makes those around him feel both valued and respected, creating an environment where trust and excellence naturally thrive.”

Whether working alongside his team, engaging with clients, or serving the community, Yarbrough’s quiet strength, commitment to doing things the right way, and his family’s deep respect for each other and those they serve all shine through in his leadership, Longacre said.
“He represents not just the future of the trades, but the very best of what leadership can and should be,” Longacre said.
Those values are at the heart of Yarbrough’s goals — both personal and professional. He strives to honor his faith in every aspect of the business, from day-to-day operations and team culture to how they care for their customers and community.
“My career goals are as follows,” Yarbrough said. “To honor Jesus in every aspect of our business — from operations and company culture, to how we take care of our team and the people we serve. To become the largest family-owned and operated HVAC company in Oklahoma. To create a legacy of generosity for our families, team, community, and the trades.”
