“That was where I had the opportunity to learn from many senior HVAC technicians and experts,” Kocaman said. “That experience sparked my curiosity to explore the technical side of the industry, and I continued my HVAC industry career at Resideo, first in channel marketing and more recently in product management.”

It was that early exposure that laid the groundwork for a career that’s now rooted in innovation and product development, and ultimately led to Kocaman’s proudest career achievement: the global launch of the Honeywell Home FocusPRO thermostats.

It’s meaningful because “these products span all three key categories of thermostats — non-programmable, programmable, and smart — demonstrating both versatility and innovation in one comprehensive solution,” Kocaman said.

Key accomplishments of this launch include new heat pump features and settings that expand compatibility in all product segments. In addition, Kocaman said the installer setup (ISU) templates for the FocusPRO S200 — available through the Resideo Pro app this year — will be a “game changer” for contractors, helping streamline configuration and minimize install errors.

“I am passionate about developing transformative products that not only advance the HVAC industry but also redefine how consumers and businesses approach comfort controls, indoor air quality, and energy management,” Kocaman said.
