HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Superior Boiler has been awarded a contract to supply critical equipment for a new utility project in the Gulf Coast region.
The new contract continues a trend of successful engagements with leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, a press release from Superior Boiler said.
“The award also marks a repeat order from a valued customer who previously purchased a Shawnee Ds-style watertube boiler and deaerator in October 2019 — equipment that remains in operation and continues to perform reliably,” said Doug Wright, president and CEO of Superior Boiler. “The newly awarded project reflects the customer’s continued confidence in Superior Boiler’s manufacturing performance and engineering excellence.”
The Shawnee Ds-style boiler, a patented design from Superior Boiler, offers a compact footprint with significant advantages in capital cost savings, operational efficiency and enhanced performance, the press release said. The new unit is designed for a 65,000 lb./hour capacity with a 550-psig design pressure. Paired with a customized deaerator, the package will deliver dependable steam generation and water treatment for the utility’s operations.
“We are proud to continue earning the trust of our EPC partners and repeat clients for projects of this scale,” Wright said. “The Gulf Coast is a vital region for energy infrastructure, and our equipment plays an essential role in supporting those operations with long-term reliability and value.”
This latest award builds on Superior Boiler’s track record of securing major contracts and highlights the company’s leadership in the industrial boiler and energy solutions market, the press release said.
