Rewiring America develops tools to address the biggest barriers to electrification. The organization has brought electric appliances to households with resources like the Personal Electrification Planner (PEP), the Savings Calculator, and Rewiring Communities projects. More than a million Americans have used the calculator to understand the tax credits and rebates available with electrification.

To pick honorees for its World’s Most Innovative list, Fast Company editors and writers review companies that are driving progress around the world and across industries, evaluating thousands of submissions in a competitive application process. The result is a globe-spanning guide to innovation, from early-stage startups to some of the most valuable companies in the world, the press release said.
