Sylvester & Cockrum Acquires S.C.-Based Contractor

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. — Sylvester & Cockrum, a provider of commercial HVAC services across the Southeastern U.S., has acquired South Carolina-based Lowry Mechanical.
The strategic partnership represents a significant step in S&C’s growth strategy and further strengthens its position in the Carolinas and surrounding areas, an S&C press release said. S&C is a partner company of NexCore, a commercial HVAC platform with operations in Vermont, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida.
Lowry is a comprehensive mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, specialty fabrication, and service. Founded in 1978, Lowry has established a strong reputation in the South Carolina region through a dedication to excellence and emphasis on always providing top-notch customer service, the press release said. Eric Walzer is Lowry’s president.
