Description: The EMERGE-i commercial heat pump water heater (HPWH) offers greater efficiency and is built to fit nearly any commercial facility seeking a light-duty water heater. With a 3.88 Uniform Energy Factor (UEF), the EMERGE-i HPWH can save facilities money on annual energy costs — providing building owners with an efficient and cost-effective option. The unit features whisper-quiet operation at 45 dBA. With integrated ducting adapters, the unit can easily be installed in smaller commercial applications. A zero-clearance design on the top and back, top water connections and lower space requirements than other heat pump water heaters, also support an easy installation for contractors. To enhance flexibility for users, all EMERGE-i models come with three levels of Hot Water + modes that use a smart valve to provide up to 40% extra hot water. Hot Water + is a permanent operating mode that instructs the unit to function at the selected level until directed otherwise. The EMERGE-i HPWH also offers a Guest Mode for temporary periods of increased demand. This mode allows the unit to maximize hot water output for up to seven-day increments. Customers can also benefit from using A. O. Smith’s iCOMM connectivity platform. It supports features like anti-leak technology using integrated leak detection and a smart anode. The smart sensor also provides notifications through A. O. Smith’s notification-enabled mobile app in the event of a detected leak. An automatic shutoff valve also comes standard on all EMERGE-i models to further protect homes.
