Zonefirst, Zonex Join Forces in Acquisition

RANDOLPH, N.J. — Trolex Corp. has acquired California Economizer and its Zonex Systems.
“The acquisition of California Economizer and its Zonex Systems brings together the two oldest manufacturers of zoning dampers and zone-control systems,” said Dick Foster, the president of Zonefirst and its parent company, Trolex, in a press release. “The company’s parallel paths of how they began being on opposite coasts, one being more residentially focused, the other being commercial, both being started by our fathers, and the complimentary product offerings, make this a very synergistic acquisition. Both companies combine with over 100 years of zoning expertise that no other zoning company can match.”
Said Jeff Osheroff, president of California Economizer and Zonex: “After so many years working with my dad and seeing the great potential zoning continues to offer in the HVAC industry, I’m exceedingly happy to partner with an industry veteran, Dick, Trolex, and Zonefirst to provide the industry’s most comprehensive mix of zoning and control solutions for the residential and commercial controls markets.”
Both companies will continue to operate independently as plans progress for integration, the press release said.
