A Kentucky congressman is accusing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of stalling on refrigerant cylinder ban concerns, as the EPA has not responded to petitions to overturn the ban filed over 400 days ago. HVAC contractors should be wary of stings from cable news stations aiming to portray the industry as greedy and corrupt. Cold climate heat pumps continue to gain ground as the IRA’s 25C tax credits, plus incentives from utilities, make them more affordable for Americans. A series of winter storms left large parts of the Midwest without power in late February and early March, but fortunately ecobee and Generac are integrating their smart and Wi-Fi connected products to help customers prepare for that same sort of thing.
