YEAR-TO-DATE: Year-to-date U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters decreased 16.8% and residential electric storage water heater shipments decreased 6.4% compared to the same period in 2021. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of commercial gas storage water heaters decreased 7.4% and commercial electric storage water heater shipments decreased 22.1% compared to the same period in 2021. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces decreased 3.4% and shipments of oil warm air furnaces decreased 25.5% compared to the same period in 2021. Year-to-date combined shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps increased 1.9%, shipments of central air conditioners decreased 3.6%, and the total for heat pump shipments increased 10.7% compared to the same period in 2021.
