Facts + Figures: AHRI Shipment Data for July 2022
YEAR-TO-DATE: Year-to-date U.S. shipments of residential gas storage water heaters decreased 13.2% and residential electric storage water heater shipments decreased 3.7% compared to the same period in 2021. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of commercial gas storage water heaters decreased 6.5% and commercial electric storage water heater shipments decreased 23.0% compared to the same period in 2021. Year-to-date U.S. shipments of gas warm air furnaces decreased 1.8% and shipments of oil warm air furnaces decreased 21.2% compared to the same period in 2021. Year-to-date combined shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps increased 2.5%, shipments of central air conditioners decreased 0.4%,, and the total for heat pump shipments increased 7.4% compared to the same period in 2021.
