Distributor Expanding Michigan Headquarters
Grand Rapids, Mich. — Behler-Young Co., a distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products throughout Michigan and northwest Ohio, is expanding its headquarters in western Michigan.
The 100,000-square-foot Grand Rapids expansion will double the size of the current distribution center, allow for a significant increase in inventory, and serve Behler-Young’s six branch locations in the western region of the state.
Behler-Young also services licensed contractors from a 140,000-square-foot distribution center in Brighton, Michigan, plus 17 branch locations in the state as well as one in Toledo, Ohio.
“This expansion is a $12 million investment for Behler-Young, and we’re continuing to grow,” said David DeJonge the company’s president and COO. “We recently leased a new branch in Troy, Michigan, which will open in early 2023.”
In addition to investing in the company to provide superior support to customers, Behler-Young invests in the heating and cooling industry. On Wednesday, October 12, Behler-Young will host the HVACR Expo at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. This free, one-day event brings together HVACR contractors with over 100 manufacturers, business solution providers, utility companies, industry associations, and more.
