CoilPod LLC Announces Allowance of Patent on Technology to Detect Coil Fouling in Refrigeration Units
Fouling is detected through temperature monitoring technology

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. — CoilPod LLC has reached agreement with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on the allowance of a pending patent filing that broadly covers the use of a temperature sensor-based technology to detect and signal the fouling of condenser coils in commercial refrigeration units in the HVACR sector. This new CoilPod approach will allow for detection of undesirable coil fouling on heat transfer coils that lay hidden within the cooling unit allowing for coil cleaning when needed, rather than pursuant to an arbitrary schedule.
The company is actively exploring a licensing program with interested parties for this new technology approach.
