In a recent episode of The NEWSMakers podcast, Kyle Gargaro, editor-in-chief of The ACHR NEWS, interviewed Angie Simon, board president of SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association), about the organization’s “Ignite Your Career” program.

The two of them discussed how the SMACNA is working to close the labor gap through creative recruitment efforts, encouraging people to try a career in the trades. Most recently, the organization launched the “Ignite Your Career” program, designed to connect people considering the trades with people who are already in them.
