ATLANTA — Emerson chose the Battery Atlanta to host its kick-off to the AHR Expo. With larger-than-life television screens placed around the room, airing various football games, and plenty of food and drink to go around, attendees were having a heck of a good time the night before the AHR Expo started.

Emerson also took the opportunity to celebrate the retirement of vice president of sales, Karl Zellmer, who has been with the company for 36 years. A humorous short video highlighted Zellmer’s love of aviation, Mexican food, and Copeland Scroll compressors. A little known fact is that the compressors’ model number always starts with the letter Z, for Zellmer.

Emerson’s booth at the AHR Expo will feature the new Scroll fractional-horsepower, low-temperature compressor which uses  liquid-injection and cooling discharge technologies to help reduce compressor stress and achieve energy and sustainability goals.

As Andre Patenaude, director of food retail marketing and growth strategy, cold chain, Emerson, noted, “The AHR Expo is a great way to showcase our latest innovations in human comfort, cold chain, HVACR, professional tools, and building infrastructure.”
