COPPELL, Texas — Service World Expo 2018 concluded with remarkable keynotes, educational breakout sessions, after parties, and with Chris Hunter, owner of Ardmore, Oklahoma-based Hunter Super Techs, receiving the 2018 McCart Award for Consultant of the Year.

Service Roundtable began the Consultant of the Year award in 2008 to honor the top consultant in the HVAC industry. The award honors top consultants in the industry, as well as the memory of Tom McCart, who was committed to helping contractors grow their businesses.

“If you saw the names of the other nominees, they are all very deserving of this award. I felt honored to even make the list,” said Hunter. “I have learned from all the other nominees, and people like Ben Stark have had such an impact on my career. To be able to give back to an industry that has given so much to me is something I don’t take lightly. I want to do my very best at returning the favor.”

Service Roundtable members nominated Hunter for his accomplishments in growing his company from a part-time position to over $8 million in retail sales. Hunter SuperTechs now has seven locations, servicing Oklahoma and Texas. He is also a winner of the 2016 International Contractor of the Year award, recognized by Service Nation. Throughout the expansion of his business, Hunter and his team have strived to assist those in need through charity work and prayer.

Like McCart, Hunter began consulting with other contractors and helping them grow their businesses. He serves as a mentor for the Service Nation Alliance, and specializes in marketing and brand awareness. He has spoken at Service World Expo, Service Nation 101, and Service Nation Alliance Bootcamp.

“Chris Hunter truly has an entrepreneurial spirit," said Matt Michel, president of Service Nation, Inc. "He built a fantastic organization from the ground up and is giving back as a consultant, helping others to achieve sustainable business growth. Chris’ efforts and efficacy have been recognized by thousands of contractors when he was nominated and elected Consultant of the Year by more than 4,000 member companies who make up Service Roundtable.”
