ARS/Rescue Rooter of Columbia Donates HVAC System to Vietnam Veteran

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia residents Larry and Nina Dooley received a donated HVAC unit and installation from ARS/Rescue Rooter of Columbia on Sept. 7.
When Larry Dooley, a Vietnam veteran, scheduled a service call for their 20 year old HVAC unit, ARS/Rescue Rooter Technician Wayne Maner knew immediately that the HVAC unit was beyond repairs and needed to be replaced.
Nina Dooley had just returned home after a hospital stay, and the rising costs of medical bills along with the cost to make their home wheelchair accessible made affording a new HVAC unit impossible. Maner immediately acted, calling the local ARS/Rescue Rooter leadership team, and the decision was made to donate a new HVAC unit to the Dooleys.
