Marketair Acquires RD-Series and PD-Series of Commercial VRF/VRV Lineset Enclosure Systems
Edison, N.J. — Marketair is now the exclusive North American importer/vendor for the RD-Series and PD-Series commercial rooftop enclosure and support systems. Developed by Inaba Denko, Osaka, Japan, the series is designed exclusively for multiple linesets used with variable refrigerant flow/volume (VRF/VRV) multi-split systems.
Marketair, an import/export component and accessory supplier for the HVAC industry, acquired the product lines’ distribution rights and inventory in April 2017, from the previous distributor, RectorSeal Corp., Houston. Marketair will continue marketing the two VRF/VRV lineset enclosure systems under the RD-Series and PD-Series brand.
Well-established in the mature VRF/VRV markets of Asia, South America and Europe, the two series offer a practical, economical, durable and aesthetic solution for protecting multiple linesets in the rapidly emerging North American rooftop VRF/VRV system market. The series complement each other and are designed to save up to 35 percent in contractor labor compared to custom-fabricated, galvanized sheet metal lineset ducting or other labor-intensive fabricated alternatives.
Marketair is establishing separate channels of distribution to sell the series through conventional HVAC wholesalers as well as a network of bid/spec manufacturer’s representatives.
“Bulk purchasing and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of stock, parts and accessories allows us to offer attractive pricing and three- to four-day shipping throughout North America,” said Gerry Spanger, president, Marketair.
The RD-Series comprises roll-formed rectangular sheet metal lineset duct and fittings. It features a proprietary, anti-corrosive, scratch-resistant hot-dipped and chromium-free ZAM® coating (zinc, aluminum and magnesium) that provides a more durable and lighter-weight alternative to galvanized steel.
The PD-Series is a system of UV, fire- and weather-resistant, extruded PVC round duct/fittings designed for stand-alone use in smaller VRF/VRV and mini-split projects. It also can function as a transition piece between the condenser and a RD-Series duct run on larger multiple lineset installations.
