COLUMBUS, Ohio — Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) has seen a successful takeoff in the first six months of its Human Resources Consulting Program under Pam Krivda.

HARDI launched the Human Resources Consulting Program with Krivda in January to coincide with the launch of the new HARDI Talent pillar.

“With an expansive network of experienced specialists on-hand in every state, Pam and her team are prepared to address and provide solutions to HARDI members on virtually any human resources issue,” said HARDI Manager of Training and HR Solutions, Nick Benton. “She has such an integral knowledge of many problems and frustrations that affect businesses in this area, especially from a legal standpoint. With members continuing to pick up this service HARDI offers, our Human Resources Consulting Program is really starting to take off.”

Krivda is board-certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in the practice of labor and employment law and is a partner at Columbus firm Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP.

She has more than 25 years of experience representing and defending public and private employers in all aspects of employment and labor relations matters, including solid practical “what-to-do” advice to employers; defending against harassment claims, discrimination, and other employment-related lawsuits and administrative proceedings; private and public labor contract negotiations; interpretation and arbitration; and representing employers at trial and before administrative agencies.

Continuous with her knowledge are areas of legal compliance: handbooks and policies, leaves of absence, employee accommodation, wage and hour requirements, non-harassment protocols, termination, separation agreements, reductions in force, last chance agreements, and management training services.

“HARDI is a fantastic organization, and I am excited to be a part of their growing repertoire of member services,” said Krivda. “This offering provides much needed, readily available advice on the employer-employee relationship, without you having to have an entire HR team of your own. With the HARDI Human Resources Consulting Program, you can have an HR department, it’s just off site. I look forward to providing more HARDI members with the HR tools and knowledge necessary for running their businesses as smoothly as possible.”
