COTATI, Calif. — State Water Heaters, a manufacturer of commercial and residential water heaters, was featured in Spike TV’s reality series, “Bar Rescue,” in a California bar’s new hot water system. The episode premiered Oct. 9.

In the episode of “Bar Rescue” featuring State, host Jon Taffer, a restaurant, bar, and nightlife expert, helps revitalize The Tradewinds, a neighborhood establishment in Cotati, California As part of the renovation, “Bar Rescue” expanded food service capabilities, which required additional food preparation space, cleaning areas, and more hot water.

Jason Wandrey, president of Santa Rosa, California-based Cal-West General Construction Inc., led the team of contractors who executed the kitchen upgrades. To meet the increased hot water demands of a full-service kitchen, Wandrey installed a 50-gallon commercial gas State Water Heaters ForceTM 90, a light-duty power direct vent heater with 96 percent thermal efficiency and a rapid recovery rate.

Jeff Storie, director of marketing for State Water Heaters, said the Force 90 performs well in bars and restaurants where hot water demand varies according to meal service.

“The energy-efficient condensing technology inside the Force 90 means businesses aren’t wasting money when demand for hot water fluctuates during the course of daily business,” Storie said. “And the 100,000 Btuh-per-hour input ensures that the Force 90’s performance can handle any hot water demand The Tradewinds customers throw at it.”
