HARDI Leadership Changes Hands

ORLANDO, Fla. — During the Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) Annual Conference in Orlando, HARDI leadership transferred several key leadership positions, including the position of president from Bill Bergamini (ILLCO Inc.) to Michael Meier (Meier Supply).
Following tradition, Bergamini ceremoniously passed the presidential gavel to Meier at the closing reception of the Annual Conference. After a few friendly jabs at each other that highlighted how close of a relationship the two share, Bergamini provided heartfelt words for HARDI members, his wife Jen, and for Meier.
Bergamini’s presidency saw a successful performance in all four HARDI pillars. Advocacy held a very successful Congressional Fly-In; Benchmarking opened the Distributor Performance Dashboards tool; Education launched the Sales Manager Certification Program and grew the Emerging Leaders program; and Networking had four successful Focus Conferences and the best Annual Conference attendance in a decade.
Bergamini moves into the role of past-president, replacing Royce Henderson (Charles D. Jones). HARDI president-elect is now Tom Roberts (cfm Distributors); vice president is Troy Meachum (ACR Supply); and new to the Executive Committee is Brian Peirce (Peirce-Phelps).
HARDI bids farewell to Northeast Region Director Jody McGarry (ABR Wholesalers) who is being replaced by Joe Fernandez (F.W. Webb). For HARDI’s Western Region, Andrew Barton (CFM Equipment Distributors) takes over for Michael Luther (Allied Refrigeration). Finally, Jeff Cherif (JB Industries) replaces Ruth Ann Davis (Williams Furnace) as Supplier Advisor.
