Armstrong Air has launched the A952E, an ENERGY STAR® qualified, two-stage constant torque gas furnace designed to deliver consistent heat and improved temperature distribution.

The 95% AFUE A952E offers dealers an additional ENERGY STAR option within Armstrong Air’s high efficiency heating product category. Currently, Armstrong offers the two-stage, variable speed A952V and the single-stage, constant torque A951E furnaces. With two stages of heating and a constant torque motor, the A952E combines the best in efficiency and comfort.

An ideal solution for consumers who experience temperature variations in their homes, the A952E gives dealers the right recommendation for homeowners wishing to increase comfort while improving efficiency and lowering overall utility costs. And by taking advantage of available ENERGY STAR rebates, dealers can offer homeowners the A952E at or near the same price as a baseline 95% furnace.

Equipped with ECM technology, the furnace’s constant torque motor uses the same brushless DC motor technology as true variable-speed motors, produces less heat and operates more efficiently–30% more at cooling speeds and 75% more in constant fan mode–than competing models. With two stages of heating, the Armstrong Air A952E delivers better temperature control and more even heat distribution than single-stage furnaces, operating at low heat most of the time and automatically switching to higher heat production as demand increases.
