HARDI Issues Call For Comments
COLUMBUS, Ohio — HARDI is looking for industry feedback on its recommended Industry Supply Chain Scorecard definitions. Introduced by the HARDI Vendor Scorecard Task Force in July, the initiative was formally introduced in Sept. 2013 and has been opened for a 60-day comment period.
According to HARDI, the industry-wide scorecard aims to make the process of evaluating supply chain performance more efficient. The scorecard includes recommended objective metrics for HARDI distributors to use to evaluate vendors. The definitions are designed to facilitate a dialogue among distributors and manufacturers for the purpose of making the supply chain performance evaluation process more efficient and reducing costs for all parties involved.
The task force plans to offer an informational webinar on Oct. 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. ET to answer questions about the recommended definitions. All feedback received will be reviewed by the task force.
The Recommended Metrics will be presented for formal adoption at HARDI’s Annual Conference Dec. 7-10, 2013. Once adopted industry wide, each HARDI distributor member can use the recommended definitions to customize a scorecard that fits their individual company’s goals and objectives.
