A. O. Smith (Ashland City, Tennessee) appointed Jeffrey T. Ogan as director of product management and technical support for its North America Water Heating business unit.

Nidec Motor Corp. (St. Louis) named Hiroyuki Yoshimoto president, replacing the company’s founder Shigenobu Nagamori. Nagamori will remain at the company as chairman and CEO.

Carel Industries (Brugine, Padova, Italy) debuted on the stock exchange in Italy. The initial offering involved 35 million shares, representing 35 percent of the company’s share capital.

Lennox Industries (Richardson, Texas) announced the iComfort® S30 and E30 smart thermostats are now compatible with the Apple HomeKit technology.
