Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors Association of Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino, California (PHCC ORSB), an affiliation of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC), announced William A. Shane as executive director.
The U.S. Department of Congress (DOC) announced construction spending decreased 0.6 percent to $1.21 trillion as investments on public-sector projects fell to their lowest levels since October 2016 following a downwardly revised 1.4 percent decline in June.
The U.S. Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for August registered 58.8 percent, an increase of 2.5 percentage points from the July reading of 56.3 percent. The August reading is the index’s highest rating since April 2011.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) announced nominations for its 2017 E. Robert Kent Award for management innovation are due Oct. 6. The winner will be announced during the 2018 MCAA Annual Convention in San Antonio.
