JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Diversified Pure Chem has opened a new hub facility in Jacksonville, Florida, to offer small cylinder exchange and refrigerant buyback services. With the Jacksonville addition, Pure Chem now has multiple facilities to service HVACR and industrial businesses throughout the Jacksonville, Gainesville, Orlando, Tampa, and Miami markets.

Through the local hub facilities, Pure Chem employees collect 30-pound and 50-pound cylinders of recovered refrigerant, such as R-22, directly from other local HVACR businesses. Pure Chem drivers make routine stops at participating locations to exchange filled cylinders with clean cylinders. Once collected refrigerant is analyzed, Pure Chem pays the business for the value of their recovered gases and supplies U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) documentation. "As an EPA-certified reclaimer, our goal is to offer HVACR and industrial businesses solutions that are both environmentally friendly and profitable for their businesses," said Dave Couchot, general manager of Pure Chem. "We're expanding due to considerable demand from local contractors. Our goal is to bring a simple and straightforward program with reduced liability which hopefully offers relief to the market from brokers or similar individuals using dishonest tactics to take advantage of HVACR businesses."

With the addition of the Jacksonville facility, Pure Chem now has 13 local hubs throughout the country, including facilities in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and New Jersey.
